Dollar rises against the yen?

The last few days has seen the U.S dollar rise against some of the major currencies. but with not much buoyant fiscal data to support the sudden strengthening of the Dollar one can only wonder whether it is the Japanese central bank that is hiking up the value of the dollar. If this is true, then why not the other currencies? Also, since the Euro has become a favorable reserve currency for most currencies, what is Japan's position on that....

Forex update!

The Forex market is a much better money maker than the share market ever was, as this market is governed more by logic than emotions. There are many of us who have heard a lot of the Forex market and yet do not understand the intricacies of the financial world as such. We are all left to ponder as to what the Forex is all about and how do we invest in it and what is our risk exposure and et all.

The Forex market presents an interesting opportunity for both professionals and amateurs alike, to make some good money on their returns. But some of the factors that attracts so much attention to this market is the fact that in the Forex market, one can make money both ways, whether the market goes up or goes down, unlike the share markets. And the other interesting feature of this market is that the investment you put in the market is then ‘hedged’ to a larger margin, thereby netting you greater profits.

This blog was started initially with the idea of exploring ways to make money, but then I got a lot of emails asking me for info on the Forex market as well as the metal markets. So, I have decided to give daily/weekly updates on the Forex markets, metal markets and the Oil rates. The Forex news for today is given below and hope that you will enjoy it and would make it a point to visit this blog often for such updates!

Todays update:

Yen gains against all currencies – The Yen seems to have gained almost against all the currencies listed in the board, with the current trading against the Dollar set at 108.99 per Dollar. This is due to mainly the economy woes in the United States market, the Housing muck-up and the credit crunch. The reality is that no one knows the true exposure of the Banks to the Mortgage crisis and as such, it is to be expected that the markets will be a little nervy. But the Yen, seems to be all bent on trying tom reach for the $100 level. Will this happen? That may well do so and it is the one thing that is bound to give the Japanese central bank and the government many sleepless nights to come!

Which Dollar is weaker?

The Canadian Dollar seems to be setting the record for weakening against the weakest currency today, the U.S Dollar. The Canadian Dollar ahs fallen to $1.0222 per U.S. dollar, its lowest since December. Be that as it may, one of the main causes for this fall is purported to be the job losses that the Canadian economy had to put up with quite recently.
As it is, the Dollar is setting all sorts of record for the day and one can expect that the Canadian Dollar will fall even more, come tomorrow!

Asian stocks rage on in 2007!

Asia and its stocks has seen a bumper year and this was mainly die to the FII's pouring their money into Asia and this has bumped up the stock indices all across Asia by a huge margin, the noteworthy one here being that of the Indian stock exchange. Will this momentum last, that seems to be the question on the mind of every capital analyst. The way that things are shaping up in the United states is bound to have an effect on the Asian markets and lets not forget that most of the Asian currencies are still pegged to the U.S dollar.
I guess it is all a question as to when will the bear start rising again in Asia? But in spite of poor showing by the U.S economy, the Asian markets should not be affected that much since most of the major ones are protected against any severe backlash resulting from the recession starting in the United states, but even then, the growth rate should be down for the following year by a considerable margin at the least.

New heights for the Indian sensex

Today saw the Indian sensex reach new heights with the forex inflows into the country reaching new heights.the stock markets have reached and crossed the 17 K barrier within a matter of a few days.of course this also means that the Indian rupee will be strengthening against the U.S dollar which naturally means that the exporters will have to do a very good job if they hope to see the same amount of profits that they saw the last year!

The rise of the Yen!

The yen is rising and rightly so as the dollar has gotten weak, more and more central banks are changing their reserve currency to the Yen as they rightly know that the Yen is rising and rising fast in value.of course,Japan would love a Yen that is undervalued but that is not going to happen now or ever.even Japan does not have that much liquid cash to suppress a rising Yen forever.
It is sad to see that an economically strong country like Japan to try and manipulate the currency markets to its liking.and as often in the past and the recent times as well, the Japanese central banks have flooded the market with liquid currency to support a falling dollar and to suppress a rising Yen.this has resulted in barely held hostile attitude of the world with exception of China,to such a policy.because often Japan's gain comes by 'Clumping' all over the other currencies and this so often lead to huge losses for the world.to but with all economic trends pointing to a very strong and re surging Yen and a Dollar that is heading in the range of a 'free fall',even Japan can no longer hold back the tides of the currencies.no one has that much cash and sooner or later we will see the rise of the Yen and the Yen will take its rightful place amongst the world currencies!

Forex - the new cash machine!

First of all forex is all about trading in foreign exchange.every country has its own currency and each forex trader trades on the strength of one currency against another, like the dollar-yen.a single currency may move up or down in value and this could be derived from so many factors like the economic policy of Great Britan or the Nuclear policy of India and so on. a currency value is also determined by factoring it's GDP,growth potential, inflation,World Bank's report and so on.
A forex trader tries to make money by the upswing or the downswing of the value of the currency.he/she may have bid that the yen would gain value against the U.S dollar ad when that happens he/she would make a good deal of money.the currency market is extremely volatile compared to the share market.whats more if you are planning to trade in forex it is always better to go to a well known company because they always offer a practise sessions to their investors.with these sessions a novice can do actual trade without investing his/her money and try and get the hang of how things are done.then when he/she has gained enough confidence,he/she can invest real money and do actual trades.these practise sessions are also quite useful in allowing one to become very familiar with all the tools that a forex trader uses to determine his move.all said and done, this market should not be entered lightly.as easy as it is to make good money it is equally easy to lose all of our money as well.so tread carefully and take all the precautions!happy trading
