After the Friday losses, a badly shaken Wall Street is keeping its hopes up in anticipation of another slash in the rates by the Fed. It seems that these days the market seems to follow a philosophy of 'one day at a time'. My two bits is that the Fed would slash the rates but it may not come as early as the wall street thinks. It would probably happen around the end of the fiscal year, thereby giving the new Financial year a boost as well. It seems that the Wall street seems to have gained as a result of the Beige book,the report by the Fed indicating that the economy may have slowed down a little but that is a natural process and that the recession has not yet come to haunt the Wall street. Most of the newspapers and the periodicals seem to go about saying that the Wall street rebounded sharply, but that was not the case.
The Wall street did rebound but not as sharply as one would have liked it to. There is some momentum in the market but that is only to be expected and it is the Fed report that is giving this market some buoyancy and not the market itself. What is more, this momentum may be nothing more of a mirage and that the dark days may come sooner than later.
I probably sound like a doomsday prophet, but the fact of the matter is that the sub prime crisis and the mortgage issues have not yet disappeared and that the unemployment rate is bound to sharply increase in the coming months. So to actually say that the Wall street is not going to be affected is kind of behaving like an Ostrich burying its head in the sand.

JP Morgan takes a dive by 35%

Yen gains against all currencies – The Yen seems to have gained almost against all the currencies listed in the board, with the current trading against the Dollar set at 108.99 per Dollar. The reality is that no one knows the true exposure of the Banks to the Mortgage crisis and as such, it is to be expected that the markets will be a little nervy. But the Yen, seems to be all bent on trying tom reach for the $100 level. Will this happen? That may well do so and it is the one thing that is bound to give the Japanese central bank and the government many sleepless nights to come!

Which Dollar is weaker?

The Canadian Dollar seems to be setting the record for weakening against the weakest currency today, the U.S Dollar. The Canadian Dollar ahs fallen to $1.0222 per U.S. dollar,its lowest since December. Be that as it may, one of the main causes for this fall is purported to be the job losses that the Canadian economy had to put up with quite recently.
As it is, the Dollar is setting all sorts of record for the day and one can expect that the Canadian Dollar will fall even more, come tomorrow!

These days with almost everyone taking up two jobs at a time and multi tasking as well, it is one thing to expect our elderly relatives to look after themselves, but totally another when we are expected to look after them. Hoarding Gold at $900 an ounce?

With the Dollar seeing new lows against a hoard of currencies, it is time for the Gold to hit new highs as the traders seem to be intent on purchasing the Yellow metal as fears of recession seems to have set in. This is mainly due to the presence of the weak dollar, the already high demand for gold from the Asian countries and also due to the high Oil prices.

Paypal has certainly matured into a very reliable monetary portal, one through which we can all transfer our funds safely without any hassle whatsoever. I have the pleasure of being a member of Paypal for quite a while now. The changes that have taken place since I was first a member here are too many to mention here. Like I had mentioned earlier, paypal has modified its with drawl process by allowing its Indian members to withdraw their funds directly to their bank accounts. This is a decision that has been welcomed by nearly all the Indian members, mainly because the only other option available to them earlier on, was to depend on the check. The check usually got sent through ordinary mail and most of the times, the person to whom the check was sent to, did not even receive it. The mail got lost as it usually happens and now as a result of this policy modification on the part of Paypal, we can all rest happily and withdraw our funds with no anxiety what so ever.

All you have to do is to go to the paypal members profile tab and click on 'add bank account'. Then, please follow the process set up there and you should be able to transfer your funds right away. I added my Bank account using the methods listed out b Paypal,and it was a total success. In the beginning, after having initiated my transaction to withdraw the funds from Paypal to my Indian bank account, I thought that it would not come through. Initially Paypal completed my request and sent the funds to their United states bank account. From there , it was later relayed on to my Indian bank account. The whole process on Paypal's side took only about 1 day, and then onwards, it took roughly about 3 days for the money to get credited to my account. My first with drawl was for the amount of 250$, but seeing how safe and easy it is, I do not think that I would have any qualms as far as transferring funds, small or large, anymore! The housing market seems to be dragging down Wall street into new depths of recession as the home sales fell by as much as 2.6%. Well, I finally did this! I managed to initiate the transaction with Paypal transferring the my balance to my bank account. The whole process was very quick and Paypal finished the transaction within the same amount of time that it does to transfer the balance to your card.
I have to say that considering everything, the whole process was very swift but was it successful? Well, as to that, I can only answer it tomorrow. These days the hoteliers are getting more and more greedy and this is all the more apparent as the new year comes by. This new year started off on a wrong note as the Hotel savera managed to bust the New year bonhomie for almost all of us.
By being too greedy and the urge to make as much money as they could, they decided to build a wooden platform over the swimming pool and make it into a make shift dance floor.
Unfortunately, for the guests who had paid upwards of 75$ as a fee for this party, the dance floor collapsed, throwing everyone on it, into the swimming pool.
